§ 36-138. Purpose.

The purpose of this article is to ensure that the residents of the town have environmentally safe and efficient equipment to transfer waste from their residence/business/accessory structure to the town's wastewater collection system. As a result of privately owned tanks and ejector pumps, the board of commissioners feels it is necessary to inspect any equipment and plumbing lines that connect to the town's collection system to ensure that no inflow or infiltration of surface water or groundwater is getting into the collection system. The inspections of these systems are an effort to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the town, its citizens and visitors.
