Latest version.
  • (a)

The town shall from time to time adopt water and sewer rates for residential, commercial and industrial consumers. Such rates may be amended from time to time upon motion of the board of commissioners, without notice.

    (b)

The town shall from time to time adopt tap-on fees for residential, commercial and industrial consumers. Such rates may be amended from time to time upon motion of the board of commissioners, without notice.

    (c)

The town may adopt a different schedule of rates and charges for water and sanitary sewer lines, and for tap-on fees, for those premises lying within the town limits and for those premises lying outside the town limits; it being recognized that services within the town limits and services outside the town limits present factors which vary the costs of such services.

    (d)

In-town rates apply only to property that has been listed on the tax books for the town prior to May 7, 1984. If no town taxes have been paid on the property, even if part of it is within the town limits, the out-of-town rates apply.
